Wizkid is the Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2016.
The award ceremony takes place in Ahoy Rotterdam in Rotterdam, Netherlands, this evening.
The announcement was done via the MTV Base Africa twitter page ahead of the show.
The
singer beat African heavyweights including Black Coffee and Casper
Nyovest from South Africa, Olamide and Ali Kiba of Tanzania.
Only last month, the 26-year-old music star also won Best African Act at the MOBO Awards.
The 2016 MTV EMAs will air live on MTV and MTV Base on Sunday November 6th, 2016 at 22:00 CAT.
