Veteran Nollywood actor, Kola Oyewo, has reportedly passed away at the age of 80.
The news of his death was confirmed by fellow actor Kunle Afod, who announced the development on Instagram, stating that the veteran thespian died on Friday night.
Although details surrounding the circumstances of his death were not disclosed, Afod paid tribute to the late actor, describing him as a legend whose contributions to the Nigerian film and theatre industry would be remembered for generations.
“Tonight, we lost a true legend. Kola Oyewo has taken his final bow. His remarkable talent, timeless performances, and immense contributions to the Nigerian theatre and film industry will never be forgotten. His legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. Rest well, sir. Your work lives on. It’s a wrap,” he wrote.

Oyewo was widely respected for his roles in stage productions and Nollywood films, where he built a career spanning decades.
