United States President Donald Trump has rejected reports suggesting the US is running low on weapons as a result of the ongoing conflict involving Iran, insisting that the country’s military stockpiles remain more than sufficient.
Speaking in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Trump dismissed concerns that the US was depleting its munitions, stating that the country possesses more weapons than any other nation.
“We possess significantly more munitions than any other country globally, and far more than we require,” the president said.
The comments came after a report by the newspaper claimed that General Dan Caine, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, had informed the White House about declining stockpiles of air defence interceptors.
According to the report, the issue was raised amid ongoing military operations and heightened tensions involving Iran.
Meanwhile, Trump also shared a series of AI-generated images on his social media platform, Truth Social, portraying fictional military operations against Iran.
The images appeared to depict the seizure of an Iranian oil tanker and an attack on Kharg Island, Iran’s major oil export terminal.
One of the images showed Trump aboard a tanker flying a US flag, while another portrayed fighter jets launching strikes on the Kharg Island facility.
The AI-generated posts quickly attracted widespread attention on social media, with users debating their symbolism and the broader message they conveyed amid continued tensions between the United States and Iran.
