Steve Bannon, the former Senior Adviser to President-elect Donald Trump, has launched a strong criticism of Elon Musk, calling the billionaire industrialist “evil” and vowing to personally ensure Musk is removed from Trump’s inner circle before the inauguration next week.
The heated exchange between Bannon and Musk was triggered by Musk’s support for the H-1B visa program, which visa program, which permits U.S. employers to issue temporary visas to foreign workers in specialized fields, with the intent of filling skills gaps in sectors that require highly specialized knowledge.
Bannon, a former White House chief strategist during Trump’s first term, expressed his dissatisfaction with Musk’s stance, fueling the infighting within Trump’s team on Sunday.
In an interview with Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Bannon declared, “I will get Elon Musk kicked out by the time he’s inaugurated. He won’t have a blue pass with full access to the White House. He’ll be like everyone else.
“He’s a truly evil person. Stopping him has become a personal issue for me. Before, since he’s put in so much money, I was prepared to tolerate it. Not anymore.”
