Troops under Operation Enduring Peace have rescued one of three children abducted by suspected kidnappers in Plateau State.

The incident occurred on Thursday in Mangar village, Bokkos Local Government Area, while the children were reportedly returning from their farm.

The victims were identified as Linda Ibrahim (15), Meshack Ibrahim (8), and Samuel John (8).

Security sources said troops from Sector 5 swiftly responded after receiving a distress report and immediately launched a search-and-rescue operation in nearby bushes and surrounding forests.

The operation led to the rescue of Linda Ibrahim, who has since been reunited with her family.

A security source confirmed that efforts are ongoing to rescue the remaining two children still held by the abductors.

Troops have intensified patrols and clearance operations in the area, while residents have been urged to remain vigilant and provide useful information that could assist ongoing rescue efforts.
