Nigerian actor Timini Egbuson has stirred conversations on social media following his recent comments on support and entitlement, which drew mixed reactions online.
In a tweet, Timini stated that nobody owes anyone support, urging people to let go of what he described as a false sense of entitlement as 2025 approaches. He explained that whenever he supports others, it is done genuinely and without expectations, adding that he believes the universe will reward him in other ways.
The comment, however, sparked debate, with some users pushing back. One X user disagreed with the actor’s view, arguing that people you have supported in the past also owe you support in return.
The exchange quickly gained traction, especially as Timini’s earlier comments on the subject resurfaced. In a previous tweet, the actor had expressed disappointment over what he described as a lack of support for Nollywood by musicians, noting that actors often show more support for the music industry and calling for greater mutual backing across Nigeria’s creative sectors.
