Seven high-profile footballers, including Dani Carvajal, Santi Cazorla, Giovani Lo Celso, Thomas Partey, Cesar Azpilicueta, Juan Bernat, and David Silva, have reportedly been linked to a watch-smuggling investigation in Andorra.
According to reports, the players allegedly purchased luxury watches believed to have been obtained through smuggling. An Andorran judge, Joan Carles Moynat, has requested assistance from Spanish authorities to question the players regarding the purchase, delivery, and transport of the items.
Spain’s Civil Guard is said to have already contacted some of the footballers as part of the inquiry.
The investigation centres on a suspect identified as Diego GC, who is currently in provisional detention in Andorra and faces allegations of smuggling and money laundering. Authorities claim he used a network involving Spanish and Andorran companies to import luxury watches while allegedly evading customs duties, particularly VAT.

Reports indicate that instead of selling the watches directly in Spain, they were routed through an Andorran company linked to the suspect before being sold to buyers, including the footballers. Investigators believe the structure was designed to maximise financial gain through tax advantages.
The watches involved are said to include high-end brands such as Rolex and Patek Philippe. It is also reported that Thomas Partey made some of the most expensive purchases, allegedly spending over €400,000 on multiple watches.
Authorities are further investigating claims that export declarations were not properly filed when the watches were transported from Andorra to Spain. In total, the suspect is accused of importing dozens of watches worth over €1.3 million without proper declaration.
The case remains under investigation, with authorities seeking to determine the full extent of involvement by all parties.
