In a bid to reach more with the “What Matters Now” message, the Sura campaign machinery dubbed the One Tribe, One Plateau Train has mobilized consultations with party stakeholders at the grassroots level.
The One Tribe, One Plateau train, flagged off the conversations with the Northern Plateau Senatorial District ADC party officials and major stakeholders.
Issues of insecurity, economic crunch, access to health care, connectivity between commercial terminals and low employment levels came to the front burner.
Ensuring a people-centered approach to solving problems, the Sura One Tribe, One Plateau team, gave a listening ear to the people and initiated a feedback mechanism for collation of issues and ideas for solving them. A committee called ‘We Work Together’ was set up to handle this people oriented process of solving conflicts and contributing to the development of the state.
It was obvious that this humble gesture rested well in the hearts of the ADC officials and stalwarts alike as they cheered and embraced the initiative vowing to volunteer to always articulate their grievances and possible solutions through the feedback committee.
The consultations which are interactive in nature are aimed at using a collective process of identifying issues from the people who will together agree on ways to solve them.
“The General Sura One Tribe, One Plateau movement is one borne out of the pain of witnessing ceaseless efforts at checkmating crisis and development hiccups without corresponding outcomes or abysmal results” a member of the team said.
“By setting up this committee, we intend to give the citizens of Plateau the platform to be truly involved in governance” he concluded.
Next, the people of the Southern Plateau Senatorial District will be availed this laudable option for grassroots oriented governance process.
The Sura One Tribe One Plateau Train interactions will culminate with a robust town hall in the Central Plateau Senatorial District.
