The blood in Plateau & Benue is on Pres. Buhari’s conscience – Jang blows hot

Plateau State Ex-Governor and serving Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Jonah David Jang who attended the “Handshake
across the Niger” summit in Enugu yesterday Thursday 11th January 2017.

With the attendance of top Afenifere leaders, Ohanaeze
leaders, governors, ex-governors, senators, house of rep members and
community leadersfrom both regions, saw many express deep regrets about
the state of the nation.

In his address, Governor Jang explained how Plateau citizens were
decimated weekly by herdsmen in Plateau and other middle belt states. He
drew parallels between what is happening in Plateau and the treatment
being meted out to the Igbos by the Nigerian state. He berated President
Muhammadu Buhari for his complicit silence in the killing of middle
belt tribes.

Femi Fani-Kayode who spoke after Governor Jang expressed delight at
the presentation of the Governor, commending him for his boldness and
leadership. He expressed sympathy with middlebelt tribes who have
endured pogrom in the hands of herdsmen and call on for unity across the
Niger.
