Veteran soul and R&B singer Angie Stone has passed away at the age of 63.
According to Deadline, Stone died following a Sprinter van accident in Alabama, USA. The accident occurred early in the morning as she was leaving a performance in Montgomery.
The three-time Grammy nominee’s daughter, Diamond Stone, confirmed the sad news on social media.
“My mummy is gone,” Diamond Stone wrote on Facebook.
Angie Stone’s representative, Deborah R. Champagne, also confirmed her passing.
Angie rose to fame as a member of The Sequence, the first all-female group signed to Sugar Hill Records.
