Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has officially returned to the Senate after a six-month suspension.

Her return coincided with the resumption of the National Assembly on Tuesday, following a 10-week annual recess. The upper chamber had adjourned plenary on July 24, 2025, and reconvened on September 23, 2025.

The session, presided over by Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin in the absence of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, marked a full return to legislative business with a notable turnout of lawmakers.

Senator Natasha’s presence drew attention as it marked her first appearance since her suspension earlier in the year.

Meanwhile, in a symbolic display of international solidarity, some senators attended the plenary dressed in Palestinian colours and attire, expressing support for a free Palestine.
