Chiamaka Nnadozie Nominated for PFA WSL Fans’ Player of the Month Award

Nigerian goalkeeper and Brighton & Hove Albion star, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has been nominated for the PFA Women’s Super League (WSL) Fans’ Player of the Month award for September.

The 24-year-old, who joined Brighton on a free transfer from Paris FC during the summer, has made an impressive start to life in England’s top flight, quickly establishing herself as one of the league’s standout goalkeepers.

In her first five league appearances for the Seagulls, Nnadozie kept two clean sheets and helped the team secure seven points. She also registered 16 saves across four matches, underlining her consistency and agility between the posts.

Her remarkable performance on her WSL debut against Aston Villa earned her the Player of the Match award.

Nnadozie will compete for the September honour against:

  • Aggie Beever-Jones (Chelsea)
  • Melvine Malard (Manchester United)
  • Alessia Russo (Arsenal)
  • Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw (Manchester City)
  • Cathinka Tandberg (Tottenham Hotspur)
