Senator I. D. Gyang Rallies APC Base in Plateau North, Pushes Massive E-Registration Ahead of 2027
Senator I. D. Gyang, who represented Plateau North in the 9th National Assembly, at the weekend, embarked on a strategic engagement with stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC)in Jos South and Barkin Ladi Local Government Areas, charging party leaders and members to ensure massive participation in the ongoing APC e-registration exercise.
Addressing party stakeholders in Jos South, Senator Gyang described the e-registration as a critical foundation for strengthening the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections. He urged the stakeholders to take advantage of the process, noting that a strong membership base remains the backbone for electoral success.
Senator Gyang commended the commitment and resilience of APC leaders in Jos South and Barkin Ladi, describing their sacrifices as instrumental to the party’s growing strength in Plateau State.
The Senator also formally informed the Jos South APC stakeholders, led by the chairman, Da Fidelis Dadieng, of his resolve to contest the Plateau North Senatorial ticket of the party for 2027, assuring them that he will build on his experience for a more purposeful and impactful representation if given the mandate.
According to him, Plateau State remains a stronghold of the APC, and the party is firmly positioned to deliver victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all other elective offices in 2027
Responding on behalf of the Jos South stakeholders, Da Fidelis Dadieng, chairman of the forum, lauded Senator Gyang for the visit, describing his aspiration as fitting given his pedigree and record performance in the National Assembly.
He noted that Senator Gyang’s entry into the APC has continued to attract more members to the party, assuring him of their prayers and goodwill.
In similar vein, former Chairman of Jos South Local Government Council, Hon. Gideon Dangdareng, and former Commissioner for Works, Hon. Pam Dongs, along with Ngo Sarah Dalyop, among other party leaders, described Senator Gyang not only as a refined and seasoned technocrat but also as an outstanding legislator.

Also speaking, APC Youth Leader in Barkin Ladi, Hon. Chun Pam Shut said Senator Gyang’s name has become synonymous with effective representation and therefore deserves the encouragement and backing of the people.
Across both local governments, Senator Gyang received a warm reception, marked by commendations and accolades, underscoring his acceptance within the APC as the party intensified preparations for the 2027 political contest.
