Senate Minority Leader, Senator Patrick Abba Moro, has been thrown into deep mourning following the tragic loss of his son and grandson within two days.
Reports indicate that the lawmaker’s grandson died first, after which his son, Victor, also lost his life in a fatal motor accident barely 24 hours after the child’s burial.
Victor, who had recently returned to Nigeria after completing his studies in Turkey, was set to begin the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
He was reportedly involved in a ghastly accident along the Mararaba axis in Nasarawa State while travelling from the family home to attend to personal matters.
Victor was one of Senator Moro’s children from his marriage to Veronica Moro.
The double tragedy has left the senator’s family and close associates devastated, with many describing the incident as a painful and heartbreaking loss.
