Commodore Isaac Mashingil Mankilik has declared that tackling insecurity and protecting lives across Plateau Central Senatorial District will remain his top priority as he intensifies consultations for his senatorial ambition.
Mankilik made the declaration during the inauguration of his Ward Coordinators drawn from the five Local Government Areas of Plateau Central, where he urged supporters and party loyalists to remain united and committed to the movement.

Addressing the coordinators, the senatorial aspirant stressed that leadership is ordained by God and should be used to serve the people diligently.
He assured the gathering of his readiness to provide quality representation and leadership that would improve the lives of constituents, noting that security and community safety would form the cornerstone of his agenda if elected into the Senate.
According to him, the ward coordinators are critical grassroots mobilizers and “foot soldiers” who will take his message of hope, unity, and development to every community across the senatorial district.
Mankilik’s supporters and stakeholders at the event described his aspiration as timely and necessary, citing his military experience and exposure as qualities that distinguish him for effective representation at the National Assembly.
The stakeholders pledged to support him throughout the APC primaries and beyond, expressing confidence in his ability to deliver purposeful leadership for Plateau Central.
As part of his engagements, Commodore Mankilik also attended a fundraising service at COCIN RCC Headquarters, Pushit, organized to support victims of recent attacks that claimed several lives and destroyed property worth millions of naira.
Speaking during the service, he condemned the attacks, describing them as “senseless, unacceptable, and barbaric,” while sympathizing with the church, the Traditional Council, and the entire Mwaghavul nation over the tragic incidents.
He further informed the congregation of his desire to contest for the Plateau Central Senate seat and appealed for prayers and support toward the realization of the aspiration. A minute of silence was later observed in honour of those who lost their lives in the attacks.
Earlier, Mankilik worshipped with believers at COCIN CC Hilltop in his hometown during the “Pastors’ Farm” programme, where prayers were offered for him and his political ambition.
