The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris shunned press
after meeting Vice President Yemi Osinbajo behind closed doors.
The Director General of the State Security Service, Lawal Daura,
and the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami were also in
attendance at the meeting which held at the presidential villa, Abuja
on Monday.
Some heads of security agencies had earlier met with President
Muhammadu Buhari but it was not clear what exactly may have been on the
menu.
The meeting came after the police extended invitation to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, over the alleged link with Offa robbery suspects.
A link to the nation’s number three citizen had sternly denied.
When approached by State House correspondents for comments after
the meeting with Osinbajo, the IGP declined, referring them to the Vice
President’s Aide de Camp (ADC).
