Retired adult film star Asia Carrera has successfully passed the Texas Bar Examination, marking a significant milestone as she moves closer to becoming a licensed lawyer.
Carrera, born Jessica Steinhauser, announced the achievement on Facebook after sitting for the notoriously challenging exam in February. Records show she is listed under her birth name with the State Bar of Texas among those admitted.
She had previously revealed that this was her second attempt at the exam, which she took in Waco alongside nearly 1,000 candidates. According to her, she narrowly missed passing on her first try by just two points but felt much more prepared this time.
Despite the achievement, Carrera noted that her motivation was not necessarily to practise law, but to challenge herself and prove she could pass the exam.
Beyond her entertainment career, she has long been recognised for her academic ability. She is a member of Mensa and holds a master’s degree in education.
With the bar exam now passed, Carrera is eligible to practise law in Texas should she choose to pursue a legal career.
