Jos, Plateau State – The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Province 1, through its evangelism initiative “Reach For Christ,” carried out a school outreach at Obasanjo Model School, Jos, on Friday, February 21, 2025. The event featured a motivational session for students, along with the distribution of books and pens.

During the outreach, Pastor Inkotaria Ipalibo, Coordinator of Reach for Christ, RCCG Plateau Province, delivered an inspirational message based on Jeremiah 29:11. He encouraged the students to recognize that they are destined for greatness, emphasizing that God’s plan for their lives begins with surrendering to Jesus Christ. “Salvation is the beginning of the manifestation of God’s good plan,” he stated, urging the students to embrace faith as a foundation for their future success.

Speaking on the essence of the Reach for Christ initiative, Ambassador Yemi Matthew, Assistant Coordinator, RCCG Region 8 (Plateau Family), highlighted the church’s commitment to outreach beyond its congregation. “The Redeemed Christian Church of God believes in reaching out not only to its members but also to people outside the mission,” he said. He explained that the initiative extends its impact to students, inmates in correctional centers, market women, and various underserved communities.

Matthew further noted that their outreach efforts involve more than preaching. “We convey the message of Christ through evangelism, prayer, and acts of kindness. In addition to sharing the gospel, we also distribute educational materials and other essential items to support those we reach,” he added.

The program, carried out under the leadership of Pastor Tony Okwu, is part of RCCG’s broader mission to promote faith and social support in Plateau State. The initiative will continue with visits to prisons, marketplaces, and other locations to spread the message of hope and kindness.

In response to the outreach, Mr. Cyprian Dung, Head Teacher of Obasanjo Model School B, expressed gratitude to the RCCG team for their thoughtful gesture. He commended their commitment to both spiritual and educational support for students.

The Reach for Christ initiative remains an ongoing effort, reflecting RCCG’s dedication to community service and faith-based empowerment across Plateau State.
