Popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has blamed her colleague Toyin Abraham for violating the peace agreement she brokered between her and Funke Akindele.
This comes days after Funke Akindele publicly snubbed Toyin Abraham at Iyabo Ojo’s movie premiere, an incident that sparked widespread reactions online and calls for intervention.
Reacting in an Instagram post, Iyabo revealed that she had previously mediated between the two actresses, with a key condition that neither party would shade the other online if disagreements arose. According to her, both had agreed to resolve issues privately.
Explaining the recent fallout, Iyabo alleged that Toyin’s public complaints about her movie being sabotaged reignited tensions, as some fans pointed fingers at Funke.
“I tried my very best to settle both of them, cried, knelt down, begged both parties to embrace peace, which they both later did. That’s why you saw them a few months ago interacting with one another,” she said.
Expressing frustration over the renewed conflict, Iyabo added that she no longer wished to be involved, urging the public to respect her decision.
