A three-year-old Black boy identified as Nevada has gone viral after his family alleged that police officers escorted them off a soccer field in Winter Park, Florida, following complaints about the toddler’s dominance during a youth football match.
Nevada was playing in an i9 Sports youth soccer league against children reportedly around five years old when the incident occurred. According to his family, the league decided to remove him from the programme after opposing parents complained that their children could not get the ball away from him.
In a video shared on TikTok through the family’s account, @nevadaney10, Nevada’s father expressed disbelief over the incident, saying, “They really called the police on a 3-year-old because he had the ball too much.”
The footage reportedly shows adults gathered around the field discussing the situation, with some opposing parents accusing the toddler of trying to “put on a show.” His mother defended him, insisting that he was simply playing soccer.
The family claimed that the league issued them a trespass notice before police officers escorted them away from the field in front of other children and spectators. They also said they subsequently received a refund for their 2026 fall league registration.
Nevada’s soccer skills have previously attracted attention online, with videos showing him dribbling past opponents and scoring goals. His family reportedly claimed that he scored multiple goals during the match despite being substituted several times.
Neither i9 Sports nor the local police had publicly commented on the incident in the reports available at the time of publication. The circumstances surrounding the police call and the league’s decision to remove the family have therefore not been independently established.
The incident has sparked online discussions about fairness in children’s sports, differences in ability among young players and the decision to involve law enforcement in a dispute at a youth soccer match.
