The Plateau North Equity Project (PNEP) has appealed to the Senate to give swift and favorable consideration to the ministerial nomination of Dr. Bernard Mohammed Doro, recently appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement signed by Hon. Samuel Parah, Chairman, and Hon. Victor Samson, Secretary, the group expressed profound gratitude to President Tinubu for what it described as a well-deserved recognition of the Plateau North Senatorial District through the nomination of one of its own.
According to PNEP, Dr. Doro’s nomination reflects the President’s commitment to equity, competence, and inclusion, noting that the nominee possesses the “capacity and integrity” needed to contribute meaningfully to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“The appointment of Bernard Mohammed Doro is appropriate, in view of his capacity and integrity, which will contribute immensely to the attainment of the Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria,” the statement read.
The group also commended the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, the APC leader in Plateau State, Senator Simon Bako Lalong, members of the National Assembly from the state, and other party stakeholders for their unity and efforts that made the nomination possible.
Reaffirming its loyalty to the APC-led administration, PNEP pledged continued support for President Tinubu’s vision for national development and urged the Senate to expedite the confirmation process.
“We wish to respectfully appeal to the Senate to give Mr. President’s nominee a favourable consideration in the screening,” the statement added.
The Plateau North Equity Project further reiterated its commitment to promoting fairness, unity, and progress within Plateau State and the nation at large.
