The signing into law of the Act establishing the Federal School of Medical Laboratory Technology Science, Jos and many others by the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN is to say the least, progressive and landmark and thus most commendable.
May I use this opportunity to commend all progressive elements that have been instrumental in one way or the other to seeing that this fete is achieved notable among many, the Rescue Team Captain, Rt Hon (Dr) Simon Bako Lalong, Executive Governor of Plateau State and the late Senator Gyang Dalyop Dantong, Senator representing Plateau North Senatorial District and then Chairman, Senate Committee on Health of the seventh National Assembly, to mention a few. Plateau people are indeed grateful.
This gesture will go a long way in correcting the education imbalance that exists in the state in that field of study.
May I therefore call on Plateau people to take advantage of this law to avail themselves of the services of this great institution.
May I also call on the management of the institution ably led by Obong Dr Sunday Etukudo to abide by the rules of engagement as it affects student admission and employment which he has done well thus far.
