Plateau Deputy Governor Commissions Renovated Exam Hall at GSS Hwolshe, Praises Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation

The Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Hon. Ngo Josephine Piyo, has commended the Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation for its commitment to educational development. The commendation came during the commissioning of a newly renovated examination hall at Government Secondary School (GSS) Hwolshe in Jos South Local Government Area, a project spearheaded by the foundation.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Piyo lauded the foundation’s efforts, noting that investments in education are pivotal for community development and youth empowerment. She highlighted that such projects align with Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s vision for improving education in the state. The Deputy Governor further urged students to take advantage of the enhanced learning environment to secure a sustainable future for themselves and Plateau State.

The Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Dewan, also praised Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos, the former representative of Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency, for his unwavering dedication to education. Dewan emphasized that the foundation’s initiatives reflect an intentional focus on shaping the next generation.

Other dignitaries in attendance included Hon. Peter Gyendeng, former member representing Riyom/Barkin Ladi Federal Constituency; Barr. Olivia Dazyem, Chairperson of the Plateau State Gender and Equal Opportunities Commission; Dr. (Mrs.) Kachollom Gang, Commissioner for Higher Education; and Engr. Sunday Amuna, Chairman of the Plateau State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). They all applauded the foundation’s contributions, describing the renovated hall and the donation of textbooks as a significant boost to education in the state.

As part of the ceremony, the foundation donated English and Mathematics textbooks to the school, which were presented by Speaker Dewan to the school’s principals. The event featured cultural dance performances by students, adding a festive atmosphere to the occasion.

The Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to equipping the next generation with the resources they need to excel academically, emphasizing its dedication to building a brighter future for Plateau State.
