PLACCIMA Holds Press Conference on 2016 Jos Trade Fair in Plateau State – Photos

The Plateau Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PLACCIMA) on Tuesday, 11th October 2016. Held a Press Conference in respect of the coming 2016 Jos Trade Fair. The conference was held at the office of PLACCIMA with the President of PLACCIMA, Elder Bulus Dareng, PLACCIMA Vice President and Trade Fair Committee Chairman, Chief Simon Tangni, the MD/CEO Anista Marketing and events, Bolcit Patience Barshep, Trade Fair Committee, and members of the press

Addressing the Press, PLACCIMA President Elder Bulus Dareng started by informing the press on the forth coming Jos trade fair to be held from 18th- 29th October, 2016 at the Jos Polo Field From the hours of 8am to 6pm Daily with the theme; Promoting Entrepreneurship Through MSME’s for Economic Development

Elder Bulus Dareng Stressed the following…

That the press conference was held in acknowledgment of the role the press has to play in sensitizing the public of the coming Trade Fair and as such the return of relative peace and full commercial activities on the Plateau. Thanking the Plateau Government led by Rt. Hon. Barr. Simon Lalong, for the continuous efforts in providing an enabling environment for activities such as the Trade fair to be held in Plateau state after it was last experienced in 2010. And also thanking the Management committee chairmen of the 17 LGAs for mobilizing its members to participate in the Trade Fair.

 

That PLACCIMA is the 2nd established Chambers of Commerce in Nigeria and its mandate is to promote, protect and develop all matters affecting commerce, industry, mines and agriculture, tourism and allied businesses , activities particularly within Plateau State and through out Nigeria. The chambers has been involved in many activities especially in organization of the trade fair through the years.

To make the 2016 Jos Trade Fair a Success, PLACCIMA appointed Anista Marketing and Events headed by Bolcit Patience Barshep, as the Trade fair Consultant and is collaborating In the planning and execution of the trade fair. Anista is a famous management and solution driven company who’s experience in marketing and events management spans across Entertainment, Sports, Fashion, beauty and cooperate sectors at both local and international level with landmark success therefore the company has what it takes to plan, promote and market the Jos 2016 Trade Fair beyond the shores of Plateau state and indeed Nigeria.

The Jos 2016 Trade fair being one of the biggest commercial event in the state, will attract over 300 exhibitors, from cooperate organizations, government agencies, all 19 Northern States and local governments from all over, estimating over 70,000 visitors, with foreign participants from India, Ghana, Mali and more will make the Jos Trade fair an International Fair. This will further provide a bigger and better platform for intending exhibitors and help all participants in a better exchange of goods, services, technology, innovations and ideas

Other activies at the Trade Fair includes Daily exhibition of goods and technologies , product Launches, Skill Acquisition and Vocational Training, Children Fun fair, Daily Musical Concert (featuring top Nigerian and Jtown Artists). Also available, will be grills, barbecue and other Nigerian dishes. Other side attractions include, makosa nights, dance, cultural nights, comedy, reggae night, campus blast, high life music and more…

The Safety of life, property and security is a top priority as such the venue will have proper lights 24hours inside and outside with security personnel at strategic positions to monitor happenings at the venue, People coming in will go through proper security checks as a strict measure to ensure law and order.

Furthermore, this is a call on the Plateau business community to take advantage of this trade fair to showcase their products and services for the whole world to see and use it as an opportunity to launch their businesses.

Thanking the commissioner for commerce and commissioner for local government for their continuous support. We are looking forward to an eventful trade fair.

MD/CEO of Anista Marketing and Events, Bolcit Patience Barshep, also responded to some questions and threw more light on the coming Trade Fair, saying that the trade fair will ensure quality as they are partnering with standards Organization and NAFDAC to educate manufactures on quality control and to also encourage small businesses. The daily concert will also ensure that upcoming talents are aligned with established professionals from Lagos to help artist package themselves as Jos is a home for talents.

She also said due to the economic condition and to further encourage everyone one to attend, the gate fee for entrance remains N100 only.

The Vice President of PLACCIMA and Chairman trade fair committee, Chief Simon Tangni, thanked all present and Noted that the benefits of hosting a trade fair is enormous asking all to support and use the platform to demonstrate the return of peace and commercial activities in Plateau State.
