The Plateau Bloggers and Online Media Association (PLABOMA) has announced plans to host the 2026 World Social Media Day Celebration in Plateau State, bringing together bloggers, content creators, digital innovators, youth leaders, entrepreneurs, students, and members of the public for a day of learning, networking, and innovation.

The event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the Usiju World Event Center, near the State Secretariat, Jos, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

According to the organizers, this year’s celebration will be held under the theme, “Digital Voices: Innovation, Creativity and Youth Engagement,” reflecting the growing influence of digital media in shaping public discourse, fostering creativity, and empowering young people to drive positive social change.

PLABOMA said the event is designed to provide a platform for participants to explore emerging trends in digital media, discuss innovative approaches to youth engagement, and strengthen collaboration among stakeholders in the online media ecosystem.

A major highlight of the event will be the unveiling of a Unified Bloggers Online Platform for Plateau State, an initiative aimed at promoting cooperation, professional growth, and stronger networking among bloggers and digital media practitioners across the state.

The association noted that the celebration is open to bloggers, content creators, social media influencers, youth leaders, students, entrepreneurs, and members of the general public.

Participants are expected to gain valuable insights into innovations in digital media, connect with industry professionals and fellow creators, learn about emerging trends in content creation and social media engagement, and explore opportunities for amplifying their voices and creative talents.

PLABOMA encouraged all stakeholders within the digital media space to participate in the event and contribute to conversations that will shape the future of online engagement, innovation, and youth participation in Plateau State.
