Reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna, has claimed that she is being detained following a dispute with the management of Dalchifit Hotel in Gwarinpa, Abuja.
Phyna made the revelation in a series of posts on her Instagram story on Sunday, alleging that the hotel accused her of destroying property worth ₦3.5 million.
According to her, the altercation began when a group of individuals she knew gained access to the hotel premises and attacked her in her room, resulting in chaos and damage to the facility.
She alleged that the attackers were allowed entry through the hotel’s main gate and reception area, accusing the management of negligence for failing to protect her.
“The hotel allowed touts to come in and fight me, and now they’re about to lock me up till Monday because I refused to pay for damages worth ₦3.5 million,” Phyna wrote.
She further stated that despite her request for CCTV footage to clarify what transpired, both the hotel and the police had refused to provide it.
Phyna also expressed frustration over being forced to remain in custody, maintaining that she would not take responsibility for the alleged damages without evidence.
“Dalchifit Hotel is trying to detain me because I asked for the CCTV footage to confirm what was damaged. Till now, they have refused to show it to the police,” she said, tagging the Gwarinpa Police Station in her post.
As of the time of this report, neither Dalchifit Hotel nor the police have publicly responded to Phyna’s claims.
