Photos: Voice Out Vanguard joins Jos Protest call to #EndSars

On Saturday Voice Out Vanguard a civil society organization joined millions of youths across Nigeria on the ongoing EndSars protest by youths. The protest which is a nationwide call from Nigerian youths for an end to police brutality and accountable governance is now running for over a week with more youths joining the cause to support the march.

In Jos, youths also came out in numbers as such disrupting the traffic flow and commercial activities in the capital city of Plateau State as protesters continue to demand for a scrap of the newly created Special Weapons and Tactics by the Inspector General of Police.

Binta J Shu’aibu of the Voice Out Vanguard said it was worthy in joining her voice with many others across the country to say that “we will not sell ourselves cheap on an alter of compromise”.

Binta further stated that “We have a common enemy and we must not only come together but continually and consistently stand together till a new Nigeria is born and our future secure. She then encouraged youths saying that “Our Voice is Our power as we are not backing down”.

The youths under various aggies stormed the major roundabout in the state capital Old Airport Junction also called NASCO junction with various forms to placards denouncing the federal government and Nigerian Police over the spate of extra judiciary killings of innocent Nigerians by the operatives of the Nigerian Police

The youths have so far been conducting themselves peacefully even without an outright leader for the protest with food supply, water and even maintaining the sanitary nature of the road. Men of Nigerian Police were seen watching afar off from the scene of the protest while others were directing vehicles to follow alternative routes.
