A Nigerian pastor has sparked outrage after threatening to use “spiritual powers” to have a church member’s daughter deported from Australia.

The incident unfolded during a church service when the pastor confronted the young woman’s mother at the altar. The mother had revealed plans to purchase land for her daughter, who relocated to Australia two years ago after securing a visa.

According to the pastor, he had prayed for the woman to obtain the visa while she was working at a Nigerian bank. He lamented that despite her success abroad, she had shown him no gratitude or financial appreciation.

“I prayed for your daughter to get visa; now she’s buying lands without buying for me first,” the pastor told the mother in front of the congregation.

He insisted that the land purchase could cause conflict between the mother and daughter, warning they risked being scammed. The pastor then demanded that the Australia-based woman send him $1,000 within seven days.

Speaking to her over the phone, he declared that failure to comply would result in her deportation, claiming the threat was not his words but a “prophetic decree.”

The video of the exchange has since gone viral, drawing widespread criticism on social media.
