Residents of Oworonshoki, Lagos State, on Monday took to the 3rd Mainland Bridge to protest the demolition of their homes by the state government.
The demonstrators, who carried placards, accused the government of rendering them homeless without proper notice or compensation. They called for accountability and immediate intervention to address their plight.
The protest, which began at dawn, caused heavy traffic gridlock on the busy bridge, leaving many motorists stranded and forcing others to seek alternative routes.
Security operatives were later deployed to restore order and clear the road for vehicular movement.
