The Ochaworth Leadership and Community Development Initiative (OWLACDI), in partnership with Pout & Play, on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, held the much-anticipated Pink Lip Gloss Edition for Breast Cancer Awareness, a program that combined education, advocacy, and community action.

The event, described by participants as inspiring and impactful, focused on integrating breast cancer awareness into school curriculums to promote early knowledge and a culture of prevention among young people.
A key feature of the program was a sensitization session on early detection and self-examination, with health experts stressing the importance of lifestyle and dietary choices in reducing risks. Attendees were equipped with practical tips and preventive measures to incorporate into their daily lives.
Personal stories shared by breast cancer survivors and families brought emotional depth to the event, reminding participants that breast cancer remains a lived reality for many within communities.
Support and solidarity were also on display as attendees purchased Pout & Play lip gloss and pink ribbons—symbols of unity in the fight against breast cancer.
Organizers said the Pink Lip Gloss Edition was not just an event but part of a broader movement to break the silence, raise awareness, and encourage early detection and healthier living.
“Awareness saves lives, and action creates change,” OWLACDI noted, reaffirming its commitment to building stronger community responses to breast cancer.
