Peter Obi, the 2027 Nigerian Democratic Congress NDC presidential candidate, and his Vice Presidential Candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso are expected to attend a grand reception and Middle Belt Village Hall Meeting scheduled to hold in Jos, Plateau State, on Friday, October 23, 2026.
The event, organised by the Middle Belt Youth Council, The Big-Tent, the Obidient Movement and Kwankwasiyya, is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at Gowon Hall, Crispan Hotel, Rayfield, Jos.
The gathering is aimed at providing a platform for engagement with Obi and Kwankwaso, as well as discussions around political participation and the role of voters in Nigeria’s democratic process.
The organisers have adopted the slogan, “Be There. Talk Your Mind. Our Vote Must Count Now,” signalling a focus on civic engagement and the importance of voters’ voices ahead of future elections.
The planned gathering comes as political activities and consultations continue to build towards the 2027 general elections, with political groups and supporters exploring alliances and strategies ahead of the polls.
The meeting is expected to bring together supporters, youth groups and other stakeholders from Plateau State and the wider Middle Belt region.
