Speaking at the rally, the chairman of the organising committee and immediate past chairman of Jos North LGA, Hon. Shehu Bala Usman, said the gathering was aimed at demonstrating grassroots support for the political leaders and strengthening mobilisation ahead of the elections.

Usman, who also coordinates the movement for the re-election of Tinubu and Mutfwang in Plateau State, credited Alhaji Muhammad with sponsoring and mobilising support for the rally.

He urged Nigerians to give the Tinubu administration more time to implement its policies and reforms, acknowledging that the government’s decisions had attracted both positive and negative reactions.

According to him, a proper assessment of the reforms requires patience, adding that the President, Governor Mutfwang and other political office holders should be given another opportunity to continue implementing their programmes.

Usman also pointed to federal road construction projects as examples of infrastructure development that could stimulate economic activities and contribute to addressing security challenges.

On the movement’s electoral ambition, he expressed confidence that Tinubu could secure more than one million votes in Plateau State, citing the turnout at the Jos North rally as evidence of the group’s mobilisation efforts.

He said the movement was equally committed to securing support for Mutfwang, Senator Mwadkwon and other candidates in their respective constituencies, with the “Five Over Five” slogan representing its ambition to mobilise votes across the political offices identified by the organisers.

Also speaking, the Chairman of Jos North Local Government Area, Hon. John K. Chris, commended Tinubu and Mutfwang, describing the turnout as a demonstration of support for both leaders.

Chris highlighted local government autonomy as a key policy that had created opportunities for councils to deliver democratic dividends to residents at the grassroots.

He attributed the council’s capacity to serve communities to the Federal Government’s policy direction and Tinubu’s approach to local government administration.

The council chairman also declared support for the President, the Governor and other APC candidates, urging supporters to sustain mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 elections.

The rally ended with organisers reaffirming their commitment to grassroots mobilisation and expressing optimism that the support demonstrated at the gathering would translate into votes during the forthcoming general elections.
