The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced September 7 to 13, 2026, as the registration period for prospective corps members (PCMs) of the 2026 Batch C mobilisation exercise.

The scheme also warned prospective corps members that obtaining National Education Records Database (NERD) clearance is a mandatory requirement before they can complete their NYSC registration.

In a notice to prospective corps members, the NYSC stressed that all applicants seeking to participate in the service year must obtain the required NERD clearance before registration.

“NERD clearance is compulsory for all PCMs. No NERD clearance, no NYSC registration,” the scheme stated.

The online registration portal is scheduled to open on Monday, September 7, and close on Sunday, September 13.

The NYSC advised prospective corps members to obtain their NERD clearance well ahead of the registration deadline to avoid delays or complications during the mobilisation process.

Those who fail to secure the required clearance will not be able to complete their registration for the service year.

The scheme urged all prospective members of the 2026 Batch C to prepare early and ensure they meet all registration requirements before the portal opens.
