The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has suspended its nationwide strike against the Dangote Group.
The union had earlier threatened industrial action following allegations that the company refused to allow its workers to join NUPENG.
The strike was called off after a meeting convened by the Department of State Services (DSS), which brought together the Ministers of Labour and Finance, officials of the Dangote Group, and representatives of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
At the end of the talks, both parties reached an agreement, effectively ending the brief nationwide disruption.
