The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) across its retail outlets following a fresh cut in ex-depot prices by Dangote Refinery and other major depot operators.

According to Daily Post, a market survey across filling stations in Abuja on Thursday showed that NNPCL outlets have adjusted their pump price from ₦945 to ₦930 per litre, reflecting a ₦10 reduction.

The new price has taken effect at NNPCL stations along Kubwa Expressway, Gwarimpa, Wuse Zone 4, Zone 6, and other parts of the Federal Capital Territory.

Other private marketers have also implemented slight reductions. Ranoil in Gwarimpa now sells petrol at ₦935, down from ₦940. MRS and AP Ardova outlets in Abuja are dispensing petrol between ₦930 and ₦935 per litre.

The adjustments follow cuts in ex-depot prices on Thursday morning, with Dangote Refinery and depot operators such as Pinnacle and Aiteo reducing rates by at least ₦10 to ₦846, ₦845, and ₦844 per litre, respectively.

The spokesperson for the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Chinedu Ukadike, told Daily Post that petrol prices could fall further as the ongoing price war among depot operators continues.
