A Nigerian lady based in the United Kingdom has gone viral on social media after an emotional reaction to receiving her GCSE examination results.
The young lady, who sat for her GCSE examinations several weeks ago, recently returned to school to collect her results. Moments after opening the envelope and seeing her grades, she broke down in tears and began singing songs of praise to God in Yoruba.
Her emotional reaction has since touched many people online, particularly as she celebrated what was clearly a remarkable academic achievement.
She recorded an impressive set of results, scoring three Grade 9s, four Grade 8s, two Grade 7s and one Grade 5.
Under the current GCSE grading system, Grade 9 is the highest possible grade and is awarded to the very top-performing students. Grades 8 and 7 also represent excellent academic performance.
The young lady’s reaction, filled with tears, gratitude and praise to God, has attracted attention online, with many Nigerians celebrating her achievement and commending her for giving glory to God for her success.
