The Nigerian Army has announced the commencement of online applications for the 2026 Short Service Combatant (SSC) Course 49.
The announcement was made in a brief statement shared on the Army’s official Facebook page on Thursday.
According to the statement, the exercise offers “a unique opportunity for eligible Nigerians to serve their fatherland in the Combat Arms and Combat Support Arms of the Nigerian Army.”
Interested applicants are directed to visit the official recruitment portal — https://recruitment.army.mil.ng/military-secretary — for detailed information and registration guidelines.
The Army also encouraged eligible Nigerians to take advantage of the opportunity and “serve your fatherland with honour and courage.”
