The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has responded to reality star Kim Kardashian after she suggested that the 1969 moon landing was staged.
In Thursday’s episode of The Kardashians, Kim claimed that astronaut Buzz Aldrin’s historic trip to the moon was “fake,” sparking widespread reactions online.
Following the viral comment, Entertainment Weekly reached out to NASA for clarification. In response, NASA’s acting administrator Sean Duffy took to social media to reaffirm the agency’s achievement.
“Yes, @KimKardashian, we’ve been to the Moon before… six times!” Duffy wrote.
He further referenced the Artemis mission, noting that the United States is “going back under the leadership of President Donald Trump.”
“We won the last space race and we will win this one too,” he added.
NASA’s response has since ignited fresh conversations online, with many users debating Kim’s remark and applauding the agency’s firm but witty reply.
