Model Sahara Ray Dies at 34 Months After Welcoming First Child

Australian model and swimwear designer Sahara Ray, who was previously romantically linked to Canadian singer Justin Bieber, has died at the age of 34.

Ray’s family confirmed her death in a statement to TMZ on Monday, October 19, saying she died the previous night in a hospital surrounded by loved ones.

“She was so loved,” the family said, without disclosing the cause of death.

Her passing comes just months after she welcomed her first child, a daughter named Snow, in January 2026. Ray shared moments from her pregnancy journey on social media and later introduced her baby to her followers.

Her final Instagram post, published in July, featured her daughter, whom she affectionately described as “my whole heart.” Friends and fans have since taken to social media to mourn her and share tributes in her memory.

Ray gained public attention in 2016 when she was photographed spending time with Bieber during a trip to Hawaii. She later built a career as a model and social media personality and launched her own swimwear brand, Sahara Ray Swim. She was also the daughter of renowned Australian surfer Tony Ray.

In 2024, Ray publicly spoke about health challenges following a serious car accident. She revealed that she had developed Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that can cause muscle weakness and paralysis, and shared aspects of her recovery journey online.

As of Monday, the cause of her death had not been publicly disclosed. She is survived by her daughter and other family members.
