Miss World Nigeria Tamunosoye Karibi-George Wins Top Model for Africa Title

Miss World Nigeria 2026, Tamunosoye Karibi-George, has emerged as the winner of the Top Model for Africa title at the ongoing Miss World competition in Vietnam.

According to the organisers, her victory has automatically secured her a place in the Top 40 quarterfinals of the 2026 Miss World competition.

Karibi-George was among contestants who competed in the Top Model competition held as part of the Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest XVII, themed “Soul of Heritage.”

She joins other continental Top Model winners who have also secured places in the Top 40. They include Miss World Dominican Republic, winner of Top Model for the Americas and Caribbean; Miss World France, who won Top Model for Europe; and Miss World Vietnam, winner of Top Model for Asia and Oceania.

The continental winners stood out during the fashion competition, earning automatic qualification to the next stage of the Miss World contest.

The 75th Anniversary Miss World Festival began in Vietnam on August 9 and will run until the grand finale on September 5, 2026.

Karibi-George, 26, is a communications professional from Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

She was crowned Miss World Nigeria on June 6, 2026, at the Balmoral Hall of the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, earning the opportunity to represent Nigeria at the global competition.

Her latest achievement has further strengthened Nigeria’s representation at the 2026 Miss World contest, as she now advances to the Top 40 quarterfinal stage.
