In commemoration of Children’s Day on May 27, Barrister Kwamkur Vondip, the President of Kwamkur Samuel Foundation (KSF), highlighted the vital role that children play within families and society. He expressed that children bring joy, love, and serve as the future of any nation.
During the KSF Children’s Day Party held at the Open Doors Special Education Center in Jos, Barrister Kwamkur stressed that the foundation focuses on advocating for various pressing issues in society, including children’s rights, the education of underprivileged individuals, and those without legal representation.
“Our main objective is to provide a voice for the voiceless,” stated Barrister Kwamkur. “The foundation is dedicated to pursuing justice, peace, and development. We firmly believe that peace founded on justice will foster societal growth.”
This year’s Children’s Day theme is “More Money for Primary Education,” emphasizing the need for adequate funding rather than mere rhetoric. Barrister Kwamkur highlighted the importance of raising children in a proper and nurturing manner to ensure a peaceful society. He stated, “Neglecting a child’s upbringing can have dire consequences, leading to a society rife with chaos and crime. If we fail to educate and love our children, we are indirectly supporting terrorism and sowing the seeds of hatred, hindering the establishment of a peaceful society.”
Barrister Kwamkur further emphasized the significance of giving special attention to children, especially those with special needs. He emphasized that these children require additional care, love, and equal opportunities. The foundation aims to raise awareness and advocate for the fair treatment, protection, and inclusion of children with special needs within families, schools, and society at large.

Dr. Roslyn R. Yilpet, the director of Open Doors for Special Learners, expressed her gratitude towards organizations like the Kwamkur Samuel Foundation for their unwavering support and commitment to children with special needs. She acknowledged that every child is a precious gift from God and stressed the importance of respecting, caring for, and loving children with disabilities.
Dr. Yilpet also shared that managing special children demands patience and is a calling. She commended the children at the Open Doors Special Education Center, emphasizing their happiness and contagious smiles.
Children’s Day serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to ensure the well-being and proper upbringing of children, as they hold the key to a brighter future. The Kwamkur Samuel Foundation’s unwavering dedication to advocating for children’s rights and providing support to those with special needs reflects their commitment to building a just, peaceful, and inclusive society.
