Abuja, Nigeria – The President of Lighthouse Rescue Sports Outreach (LRSO), Geoffrey Bottson, led a delegation including the International Director of 3D Institute USA, Mark Hull, to a series of high-level meetings aimed at strengthening grassroots sports development in Nigeria. Among the key engagements was a partnership discussion with the Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Grassroots Sports Development and a separate meeting with the Coordinator of the National Institute for Sports (Athletes Development) in Abuja on 5th March 2025.

A major highlight of these discussions was the introduction of the 3D Coaching Course for Sports, a globally recognized framework developed by the 3D Institute USA. The International Director of the 3D Institute, Mark Hull, was part of the delegation and is set to introduce the coaching program to Nigerian sports stakeholders.
The 3D Coaching model is designed to equip sports leaders with advanced coaching strategies that foster purpose-driven team culture and enhance overall performance. By focusing on three dimensions—physical, mental, and emotional development—this framework aims to help coaches build high-functioning teams united by a shared vision.
Hull emphasized that “Great teams are a result of great coaching. The 3D Coaching model empowers leaders to create a culture that drives engagement, creativity, and achievement to new heights.”
As part of the initiative, the 3D Institute is set to hold a VIP 3D Coaching awareness session in Abuja this March 2025. The session will provide senior government officials, policymakers, and coaches with insights into how the program can transform grassroots sports in Nigeria.

The discussions between LRSO, the 3D Institute, and key Nigerian sports officials mark a significant step toward enhancing sports development in the country. The partnership is expected to foster long-term strategies that will impact athletes and coaches at all levels.
