Ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Plateau State, the political profile of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Kefas Wungak, popularly known as Kefiano, has received another boost with his nomination for the Who Is Who Stand of Fame Award.
The Board of Directors of Who Is Who Awards Nigeria said it considered nominations from indigenous people of Plateau State before selecting Wungak for the recognition.
According to the organisers, the proposed honour is in recognition of Wungak’s contributions to the state, particularly his philanthropic activities and interventions across various sectors.
The organisers said the recognition would see Wungak decorated as the “Pride of the Plateau” and, if the award proceeds as announced, make him the first Plateau indigene to receive the Who Is Who Stand of Fame honour.
Wungak is currently the PDP governorship candidate for the 2027 Plateau State election, making the recognition particularly significant as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the poll.
The nomination is seen as a recognition of his growing public profile and humanitarian engagements across Plateau State.
The award organisers are expected to announce further details on the date and venue for the proposed decoration.
