Thursday 27th October, 2016, was a Special
Day at the Trade Fair Ground, Jos Polo Field.As Commercial activities continued at the 2016 Jos Trade Fair the day was marked
as Plateau State Special Day.  See Photos…

The
Occasion was well attended by dignitaries; The Speaker House of Assembly and members, Secretary to the State Government, Elder State Men, Traditional rulers, Members of
the Executive Council, Caretaker Committee Chairmen, Supervisory
Counselors, Members of  the Chambers, Exhibitors, the Press, Illustrious Sons and Daughters of  Plateau State.

The Governor Rt. Hon. Barr Simon Lalong in his speech reemphasized that the hosting of the 2016 Jos Trade Fair has further showed the world that peace has come to stay on the Plateau. He said with the present strides, there is hope for the entrepreneur as the successes of small businesses is the hope for economic development in the state. Furthermore the various trips the government has embarked is for investment drive as the state potentials of Agriculture, Mining and Tourism is on the way to being revamped in enerst. 

Enumerating some key points for economical development;

  • The Location and sitting of a permanent Trade fair ground.
  • The of more Satellite markets within plateau state.
  • The reconstruction of the burnt Jos Main Market.

Governor Simon Lalong, congratulated PLACCIMA for the successful hosting of the trade fair and further commended Anista Marketing and Events Ltd for a near perfect organization and showered accolades on the MD/CEO, Ms Bolcit Patience Barshep. 

He also took time out to thank security operatives for their tireless effort in ensuring security, law and order.

Finally he assured Plateau people of governments commitment in doing the best and carrying everyone along . 

The Governor later led a tour to the Plateau state Pavilion and also visited other exhibitors pavilion within the trade fair ground. 

Plateau Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PLACCIMA) in collaboration with ANISTA Marketing and Events Limited are geared to present an exhibition covering all aspects of businesses, economic and tourism activities in Nigeria. 

Theme: Promoting Entrepreneurship Through MSME’s For Economic Development.    

Venue: Jos Polo Field, Joseph Gomwalk Road, Plateau State.      

Starting from 18th to 29th October, 2016.
