The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has urged candidates who have received admission offers to log into their profiles and immediately accept or reject the offers as the admission process for the 2026/2027 academic session progresses.
The board advised candidates not to delay in checking their admission status, stressing that those who have been offered admission are expected to take prompt action on the JAMB platform.
To check their admission status, candidates are required to log into their JAMB e-Facility accounts, select “Admission Status”, and access the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
Candidates who find an admission offer on their dashboard are expected to select either “Accept Admission” or “Reject Admission”, depending on their decision.
JAMB also warned candidates against assuming that their admission status has remained unchanged without checking their profiles.
The board encouraged candidates to regularly check their CAPS accounts for updates, including newly released admission offers.
JAMB Introduces Home O’Level Result Verification
Meanwhile, JAMB has introduced a new system that allows candidates to verify and upload their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need to visit a Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre for the process.
According to the board, the initiative was developed in collaboration with the examination bodies responsible for conducting secondary school certificate examinations.
Under the new system, candidates can upload their O’Level results from home, while JAMB carries out verification directly with the relevant examination bodies.
The initiative is expected to ease the admission process for candidates, particularly during peak periods when CBT centres are crowded.
It will also provide an alternative for candidates who may have difficulty accessing CBT centres due to network challenges or other logistical constraints.
JAMB urged candidates to take advantage of the available online services and remain attentive to updates regarding their admission status throughout the 2026/2027 admission exercise.
