Olanrewaju Omiyinka, the popular Nollywood comic actor widely known as Baba Ijesha, has revealed that actress Iyabo Ojo once entrusted her children to his care, as he continues to deny allegations against him.
Speaking during his first interview since his release, Baba Ijesha made the disclosure on actress Biola Adebayo’s Talk to B podcast on Sunday. He maintained that he has never engaged in inappropriate conduct with any child.
The actor was accused in 2021 by comedian Damilola Adekoya, popularly known as Princess, of sexually assaulting her 14-year-old foster daughter. The case led to his conviction in 2022 by a Lagos State High Court.
Baba Ijesha, who completed his prison sentence and was released in November 2025, used the interview to again deny the allegations, claiming that the widely circulated video linked to the case was staged.
He expressed feelings of betrayal, particularly referencing Iyabo Ojo, who had publicly supported Princess during the trial.
According to him, “What pains me the most about Iyabo Ojo is that she once entrusted her children, Priscilla Ojo and her brother, in my care when they were younger. But she’s my product, I won’t speak bad of her.”
Iyabo Ojo had been vocal during the case, pledging her support for Princess and advocating for justice.
The interview has since sparked widespread reactions online, reigniting discussions around the controversial case.
