The Plateau State Governor, Barr Simon Bako Lalong has cleared the
tuition fees of scores of 7 Plateau state students studying PhDs in
various European countries.
A number of the students who were said to have been at the verge of
dropping out due to non-payment of their tuition were salvaged and have
since re-commenced their studies.
When reporters contacted 3 of the students in the UK to
understand the status, they all confirmed their fees were indeed paid
and that they have since returned to school.
When newsmen placed a call to the Head of the Plateau
Scholarship board -he was unavoidably absent but a few of his staff
confirmed that another batch of sponsorship was being planned by PLSG in
the next few months.
