Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has approved the appointment of six commissioners-designate and four political advisers as part of efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery across the state.
The appointments were announced by the Secretary to the Niger State Government, Abubakar Usman, in a statement issued on Monday.
The six commissioners-designate are Lucky Barau from Gurara Local Government Area; Isah Wakili from Bosso; Dr Isah Adamu from Kontagora; Emmanuel Alamu from Magama; Shuaibu Saidu Kaboji from Mashegu; and Mohammed Danladi Garba from Borgu Local Government Area.
The governor also appointed Alhaji Nma Kolo as Chief Political Adviser.
Yahaya Emilugi, Yusuf Tagwai and Salman Yusuf were appointed Special Advisers on Political Matters for Zones A, B and C respectively.
According to the statement, the appointments are aimed at strengthening the administration, improving service delivery and ensuring broader representation across Niger State.
Governor Bago congratulated the appointees and urged them to bring their experience and commitment to bear in the development of the state.
The commissioners-designate are expected to appear before the Niger State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation in line with the law.
