Imaobong Elijah, daughter of Apostle Helen Ukpabio, has shared messages from people who allegedly insulted her and her mother in 2024, claiming they have now returned to apologise and ask for forgiveness.

In 2024, several individuals took to social media to accuse Apostle Helen Ukpabio, founder of Liberty Foundation Gospel Ministries in Calabar, Cross River State, of contributing to cases of child abuse in the state.

The allegations centred on claims that children were being labelled as witches or possessed through teachings associated with the ministry, which critics alleged contributed to some children being abused or abandoned by their families.

Imaobong publicly defended her mother at the time and denied the allegations.

Two years later, she has now shared screenshots of messages she said were recently sent to her by some of the individuals who allegedly criticised and insulted her and her mother during the controversy.

The messages reportedly contain apologies and pleas for forgiveness.

Sharing the screenshots on social media, Imaobong wrote:

“First in my bloodline to not leave vengeance for the Lord.”

She also added the hashtags #IHandleMyBusiness and #BlackSheep.

When a follower asked what she had done to make the individuals return to apologise, Imaobong simply replied:

“God is working.”

Her post has since sparked reactions online, with some interpreting the messages as evidence that her former critics had faced consequences for their actions, although Imaobong did not provide details about what happened to them or the circumstances surrounding their apologies.
