Nigerian stand-up comedian Gandoki sets new world record for longest stand-up comedy show.
Gandoki on Saturday October 1 broke the previous record of 40 hours 8 minutes set in 2013 by American comedian, David Scott.

Gandoki, real name Tony Mofe Ereku began his quest to break the record on September 29 with 600 jokes.

He eventually achieved the record-breaking feat on Saturday October 1 at the Exclusive Mansion Hotel, Oniru, Lagos.

Speaking on his plan to break the comedy world record, Gandoki said:

“I’m doing this to showcase Nigeria to the world and
also show our strength and resilience as a country in spite of the
present economic situation.

“I’m also doing this for the Niger Delta people because I am from
that part of the country and I want people to know that we are not a
violent people.

“It will inspire many young people to believe in their ability and be the best in all areas of their endeavor.

“With my kind of comedy, hopefully, I will set a new Guinness World Record.”

Comedian Gandoki has now set the World Record for the Longest Stand Up Comedy Performance by an individual.

The show which was organized byGandoki hosted fans, brand executives, and industry colleagues for 48 hours non-stop.

The event also had the First lady of Lagos state as well as the
Governor of Lagos State in attendance.will take place in front of a live
audience.

Gandoki’s record-breaking comedy show took place in front of a live audience with the entire performance live-streamed online.


Gandoki is one of the pioneers of the Nigerian comedy industry.

He is a compere and a professional entertainer in Nigeria, born in Warri delta state.

Gandoki started out in comedy alongside top comedians Alibaba, Ay, Basketmouth, and Gordons to mention a few.

He has been part of so many successful comedy shows and outfits in Nigeria, Europe and North-America.

He is a recipient of several awards for his comedy.
